About Everett Dowling
As a Maui-based real estate community builder, Everett Dowling and Dowling Company have spent more than 30 years serving the community and the individuals who call Maui home by improving the island’s “built” environment. Combining functionality and aesthetic excellence, the firm has earned a reputation for creating dynamic, sustainable spaces that energize and enliven neighborhoods and serve Maui.
Current Role
The team combines over two centuries of experience building communities, residential housing, schools, parks, infrastructure, and civic facilities on Maui, a huge advantage in delivering projects on time and on budget. But more importantly, being composed primarily of lifelong residents means its team shares a deep commitment to serving the needs of its families, neighbors, and the larger Maui community.
Building in Balance (Registered) is a key value of the firm, and it defines it in multiple ways: It is about respecting the environment while creating needed housing for the island’s residents. It is about building relationships as strong and lasting as the spaces it constructs. It is about providing exceptional value at competitive prices, and of course, it’s about improving the island’s environment in ways that serve the community’s needs.
The company is currently undergoing a generational leadership transition. Everett’s son, Jack, will assume leadership in 2028. Before joining the family firm, Jack served as an associate director at Koch Real Estate Investments and, before that, was an acquisitions and asset management associate at Crow Holdings Capital. Jack was born and raised in Maui. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in real estate finance from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
